Welcome to my blog. I understand the vast amounts of information you are bombarded with and it’s a privilege that you’ve decided to spare some of your precious time on hearing what I have to say. I started this blog for selfish reasons. I needed an escape from the endless circling in my own mind and writing my thoughts here gives me that release valve. It also lets me document 10 years of research, theorising and wild experimentation which I hope is useful for others who are on a similar journey.
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the almost 10 years ago now at the age of 21. This was two years after the passing of my father who had been crippled and ultimately died because of the same disease. Since then I have been on a never ending journey to understand why this has impacted me and what I can do to manage and ultimately halt it’s progress. I’ve tried everything; from random diets, to supplements and lotions to more extreme measures like not eating for five days.
I’ve combined this with my professional experience as a management consultant to look for overlaps, opportunity and parallels between multiple concepts and interventions. This has allowed me to develop principles and structured approaches to transforming my health which has proven so important when every new article seems to promise a new treatment. I truly believe you can have a huge impact on your health through making specific and targeted lifestyle changes and here I will try to articulate my experience in doing so over the last ten years.
I hope you find it interesting and insightful.
